BRIEF: North St. Paul's Fall Round Up Parade honors two World War II veterans

Sept. 12--North St. Paul will host the annual Fall Round Up Parade Thursday evening with two honorary grand marshals.

World War II veterans Bill Huot and Don Fitch will serve as the parade's ceremonial captains for the parade.

Huot served in the Army Corps of Engineers during the war and is the longtime owner of Huot Manufacturing, a St. Paul company which has sold and manufactured tools in Minnesota for 92 years.

Fitch served in the U.S. Navy during the war and, upon returning, opened a chain of restaurants including the Fox and Hound, Donnie's Supper Club, and the Sherwood Lounge.

City officials said that they hope residents will attend and help pay tribute to the veterans and enjoy the hometown parade which will include fire engines, marching bands, clowns and food vendors. The parade will run down 7th Avenue beginning at 6:30 p.m.
