BRIEF: Services set for veteran John Powell

April 07--Services for Army veteran and lifelong High Desert Church member John Powell have been scheduled.

Powell, who helped to establish HDC some 60 years ago, died at age 94 on March 30.

Powell's interment service is scheduled at 10 a.m.May 5 at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside.

A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at HDC, 14545 Hook Blvd., Victorville.
